About

Most prompts ask AI to autocomplete. Promptsu asks it to think.

Ask a standard prompt why customer churn is rising and you get a list of common causes, all of them true of somebody. Work the same question through a Promptsu method and you get something different: what is actually driving it in your business, where the system can be changed, and what to do next.

Every business is a system

Pull one lever and three other things move. Most advice ignores that and treats the symptom as the whole story, which is why the same problem keeps coming back wearing different clothes.

Systems thinking looks underneath, at the loops and pressures that keep a business behaving the way it does. Not “what should I do”, but “what is really driving this, and where is the one place a small change would matter most”. It is a real discipline with decades of research behind it, none of which you need to read.

Not tips. Not templates. A way of thinking that gets sharper the more you use it.

What that looks like

Say a manager asks AI why their team keeps missing deadlines. The usual answer arrives fast: unclear priorities, too many meetings, optimistic estimates.

A method asks questions first. Who sets the date. Who finds out when it slips, and how long that takes. Often the answer is that the person setting dates is not the person who hears they have moved, so nothing ever corrects. That is a different problem from optimistic estimates, and it has a different fix.

That gap, between a list of causes and your cause, is the whole product.

The three methods

Each is a short PDF, eight to ten pages, worked through with the AI you already use, whether that is ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini. No subscription and nothing new to learn.

Clearer Method. For when too many problems land at once. It sorts the pile down to the single lever worth pulling, and the one action that follows.

TAO Method. For when something you have already built is not working. Score a sales page, landing page or quote against fixed categories and see exactly where the leak is.

Undercurrent Method. For when you have one specific problem and need to know what is driving it. Sales, negotiation, delegation, social media and support escalations.

Consultant-grade thinking, without the consultant.

Who we are

Promptsu is UK-based, with people also working in Canada and India. It is deliberately small, which is why the methods take a position rather than covering every option.

Behind them is a Master’s in Systems Thinking in Practice and a working life in business, in B2B sales and as a director in the technology sector. AI promised to make good thinking cheap, then mostly gave people faster ways to guess. Promptsu exists to close that gap.

Where to start

Start with the method that matches your situation. Each is one PDF, and it works again on the next problem.

The aim is for systems thinking to become as ordinary a way to use AI as asking it to summarise an email. Not a framework you learn once and forget, a habit that changes how you see the next decision, and the one after that.

Think in systems.
